Every story starts with one

   The name

   In Persian, yeki means “one”, “someone”. It's the first word of yeki bood, yeki nabood, “once upon a time”, literally “there was one, there wasn't one”: the line that opens Persian fairy tales.

   We saw ourselves in that word. Every journey, every gym, every community starts the same way: with one person who decides to begin. And that's where a story starts.

   The four dots next to the name are the community: one becoming many.

2. 02

   Born in a gym

   Yeki wasn't born in an office. We were a group of friends who trained together, using the apps the market had to offer. Every day, the same problems: bugs, slowness, features that didn't work.

   We reported, suggested, insisted. Nothing happened. The gym even changed management, and the software stayed the same.

   Until the owner said the line that changed everything.

   “You know what? Build it yourselves.”

3. 03

   The first gym

   We started at a boutique gym in Umbria: first-class service and lots of members, the hardest place to begin. If Yeki worked there, it would work anywhere.

   We didn't dream up the features at a desk. We built them alongside the people who live the gym, day after day.

4. 04

   Why we opened it to everyone

   Then members who moved away, or switched to a gym closer to home, started asking for Yeki at their new gym too. They had tried something done well and didn't want to go back.

   That's when we understood Yeki wasn't one gym's app. It was something everyone was missing.

5. 05

   What we believe in

   A future where people train together, and do it properly.

   No plan built for an average person who doesn't exist. Everyone is someone, and deserves to be guided step by step by a person who knows them.

   A person plans your path, not an algorithm. Technology comes after: to remind you of things, show you your progress and keep you on track.

Technology doesn't decide for you. It keeps you company.
